(Baltimore, Maryland) Tom Dumke of Thomas William Furniture is headed east at the end of this month. He is making his way to Baltimore for the 36th American Craft Council Show. The Council invited artists whose work illustrates the innovative techniques and materials of the burgeoning new handmade craft movement. Tom will join over 700 of the nation’s top contemporary craft artists in presenting their latest handmade works.
“I’m looking forward to this show, it is one of my first showings on the East Coast. I’ve been exhibiting and selling my furniture mainly in the South and Midwest. I’m hoping that the East Coast receives it well,” says Tom. Dumke has been hand crafting furniture for the past 27 years. Nine years ago, he went full-time and which started out with a few art fairs per year he completes on average 27 art shows with ACC being one of those for 2012.
