Professionals Invited to Network and Celebrate Mardi Gras on New York’s Eco-Friendly Meeting Venue
(NEW YORK CITY), Feb. 2, 2012 – Hornblower Cruises & Events and Meeting Professionals International (MPI) invite event planners and meeting professionals to explore the city’s newest and most sustainable luxury yacht, Hornblower Hybrid. A Mardi Gras-themed networking event on Feb. 21 will showcase Hornblower’s new green vessel from 6-9 p.m. at Pier 40. Guests can enter at 353 West Side Highway and West Houston St.
Set to the tune of New York’s Best Dixieland Band, the event includes networking opportunities and gourmet Cajun-themed food stations with traditional Creole fare such as red beans and rice, okra gumbo, Andouille sausage en croute with Creole mustard and a king cake. Attendees can tour the all-new vessel’s premium event space and experience the innovative on-board technology including customizable LED lighting and a vessel-wide sound system.
Hornblower Hybrid is also the “greenest” vessel in the city, aligning with the meeting industry trend of integrating more sustainable practices. Multiple alternative energy sources help power the vessel and the design incorporates recycled materials.
