PRLog (Press Release)May 02, 2012
Gamma Glutamyl Transferase (GGT) Activity Colorimetric Assay Kit: The Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT; EC 2.3.2.2) is an enzyme that transfers gamma-glutamyl functional groups. BioVision’s Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase colorimetric assay kit provides a convenient tool for sensitive detection of GGT in a variety of samples ranging from cell and tissue lysates to serum. The GGT in sample will recognize L-ϒ-Glutamyl-pNA as a specific substrate leading to proportional color development. The activity of GGT can be easily quantified colorimetrically (λ = 418 nm).
Key features and benefits of the kit:
•   Simple and convenient
•   Fast, stable, and sensitive
•   Kit provides ample reagents to perform 100 assays in a 96 well plate format
•   Adaptable for high-throughput
•   Detects GGT activity as low as 0.5 mIU in samples

Gamma Glutamyl Transferase (GGT) Activity Fluorometric Assay Kit: The Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT; EC 2.3.2.2) is an enzyme that transfers gamma-glutamyl functional groups. BioVision’s Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase Fluorometric assay kit provides a convenient tool for sensitive detection of GGT in a variety of samples ranging from cell and tissue lysates to serum. The GGT in sample will recognize L-ϒ-Glutamyl-AMC as a specific substrate leading to proportional fluorescence development. The activity of GGT can be easily quantified fluorometrically (Ex/Em = 365/460 nm).
Key features and benefits of the kit:
•   Simple and convenient
•   Fast, stable, and sensitive
•   Kit provides ample reagents to perform 100 assays in a 96 well plate format
•   Adaptable for high-throughput
•   Detects GGT activity as low as 0.02 mIU in samples
